How to find motivation to workout when you are struggling to get moving

Feeling stuck or unmotivated to get moving? It happens to all of us. Sometimes it’s helpful to remind yourself why you work out, and the benefits it brings you. Personally, I really try to focus on the internal motivations over the external. Meaning, what will this bring me beyond the aesthetic things like a flat tummy and a thigh gap.

Shifting my mindset around movement to the deeper things it can bring took a lot of work and time but it has absolutely changed the game for me when it comes to my fitness and my relationship with exercise.
Here is a list of motivators I turn to when I need a boost of motivation to workout and am unable to get myself going.
Feel free to take what you need and use them on yourself on days you are just not feeling it.

Change your mindset. There is nothing like changing your physical position to change your mental one.
Help protect your body from injury.
Increase your ability to focus, brainstorm, and problem solve
Because you can - a blessing we often take for granted.
P.S. also remember that resting is okay too. Sometimes it is the best thing you can do for your body. If you are truly not feeling it, maybe choose to lean into that feeling and allow your body to rest and look to the list for some motivation when you wake up tomorrow. 💖
